Work in Progress:

Title: STILL LIFE

The use of duality, appropriation and transformation are investigated through the diverse approaches of Walsh’s practice in this exhibition. The inherent dualities critically reflect the work’s ability to become something else; packaging becomes architecture as Walsh employs an architectural ‘short-hand’ demystifying the monumental. She highlights the homogenisation of our physical world through this process of cross-referencing in which photography not only serves to document but also encourages a double-take. Still Life articulates aspects of the debate of representation and mediation of objects and of place.
